Queen Mother Imakhu celebrates a professional career as a Creative that spans nearly five decades. Her first paid job as a solo vocalist/musician came in 1975 at age fifteen. Since then, Queen Mother Imakhu has graced stages across the U.S. and Canada. Her expansive career includes broadcasting, theater and multimedia production, journalism, choreography, songwriting, visual art, clothing design, photography, filmmaking, and event production.

As an arts educator and motivational speaker, Queen Mother has empowered her audiences through African, Latin Caribbean, and African American music, stories, and poetry.

Followers have been further inspired by Queen Mother Imakhu's yoga teachings. She began yoga at age twelve. As a certified instructor, she shares wellness wisdom for living your best life.

Imakhu has authored how-to books guiding readers to understand and incorporate African-based cultural practices into daily living.
